This guide will help you to perform the platform hack and let you sign unsigned files without developers certificate.
Everything should be safe for your phone but I take no responsibility for any damage.
The hack currently doesn’t work on N93 and N93i.
Also the latest firmware for E90 prevents you from applying the hack.
Step 1 – Preparation:
- install “SignSis v1.03 Repacked.sisx”
install “X-Plore” (download it -HERE-)
- start X-Plore and press 0 to open Configurationpage
- enable “Show Hidden files” and “Show system files /folders”
Open Application Manager, goto Settings and set “Software installation” to “All”
and “Online certif. Check” to “Off”
if you don’t have a program on your PC that can handle .rar files you can install jZip
this is freeware and can be downloaded from -HERE-
# open “Nokia Device List.zip” and see if you have a Pre-FP1, FP1 or FP2 device
# download the correct file for your device
ROMPatcher_pre_FP1.rar or ROMPatcher_FP1.rar, here I will use the FP1 version
# extract ROMPatcher_FP1.rar on your pc and transfer s60_3_1_app_trk_2_7.sisx to your phone
# install s60_3_1_app_trk_2_7.sisx on your phone memory (not memory card)
# close Nokia PC Suite on your PC and connect your phone through USB cable in PC Suite mode
# start TRK on your phone, it will start in bluetooth mode so click “Cancel”
# click “Options” and then “Settings” and change settings to match the picture below
now TRK will be connected
- on your PC, go to Start – Run and type devmgmt.msc to start Device Manager
- see what COM port your phone is using
- now start RPInstaller on your PC (in extracted ROMPatcher_FP1.rar folder)
- enter the COM port your phone is using and click the “Install” button
- if everything goes OK you will see output similar to this:
- check if ROMPatcher is present in your phone’s Applications folder but don’t start it
- close RPInstaller on your PC and exit from TRK on your phone
- disconnect the USB cable and reboot your phone
- Step 3 – Modifications to sign unsigned files:* open ROMPatcher and select “Disable Caps” from the “Options” menu
* copy 00000001.rar to your phone
* open X-Plore, browse for the file and open it
* after opening the file, press 4 to extract it and choose C:\ as destination 
- now browse to C:\RESOURCES\swicerstore\dat\
- select 00000001 and press 6 and enable Read-only
- * click Change to save
* open ROMPatcher and select Enable Caps from the Options menuStep 4 – Sign unsigned files:start SignSIS and browse for an unsigned file by clicking the middle button in the “Sis File” field (only files with extension .sis are seen)
click “Options” and then “SelfSign”
the signed file will be placed in the same folder as the original but with extension .sisx
